Minutes of the Princeton Chapter conference call held on 09/24/2014 at 9.30pm Present: Amrish, Sriram, Kavitha, Sreeram, Ravi A conference call was organized to discuss renewal of the Learn Together Teach Other (LTTO) project managed by KNUC. The project is located in West Bengal. The following items were discussed: 1. Khajurdaha Nabankur United Club (KNUC) runs a school under LTTO program. Ravi presented the 2013 annual report received from KNUC. The participants discussed the progress made at the school run by KNUC and the accounts presented in the report. The school served 284 children up to Class 8 in 2013. The project was supported with $8675.00 for 2013 (Jan to Dec). The meeting was satisfied with the progress made. 2. Ravi presented the KNUC fund request for LTTO program for 2014. The proposal included discontinuing Classes 5 and above, and adding sections to the remaining classes. Under this proposal, the report mentions that number of served students would be approximately 177. The proposal includes requests budget for education, healthcare and administration. The meeting discussed in detail the budget proposal and funding requests under each category. The meeting also noted increase in local contributions. The total project budget was Indian rupees 7,41,700.00. Out of this, the proposal indicates that local contributions are 30%. The remaining portion of the budget Indian Rupees 519190.00 was requested from Asha. The meeting approved the amount of Indian rupees 5,20,000.00 (Indian rupees five lakh twenty thousands) for 2014 (Jan-Dec). 3. The meeting discussed continued support to KNUC LTTO program. The meeting felt that as government schools are being set up in the area, it was decided to indicate that Asha Princeton contribution over certain period will reduce drastically, and may be insignificant at some point of time. Ravi was asked to inform KNUC about the reduction in support. 4. Ravi was requested to prepare the check list and take care of chapter treasury process and fund disbursement. Minutes posted by Ravi
