Minutes of the conference call held on 02/29/2012 at 9pm Present: Amrish, Ravi, Sowmya, Kavitha, Sriram, Priya, Nagasree, Aparna 1.Ravi presented the annual progress report provided by Sireesha and the financial proposal for 2012 (Feb 2012 to Jan 2013). The reports were distributed in the chapter google groups. The meeting reviewed and discussed the annual report submitted by Sireesha. The planned site visit by Ravi during the month of October 2011 could not be taken up during his India trip in October 2011 due to difficulty and uncertain situation with the transport in Andhra Pradesh caused by agitations taking place. The meeting expressed satisfaction with the achievements during the project period and decided to renew the fellowship for the next year. The meeting then considered financial proposal with an annual budget of Indian Rupees 2, 52,000 based on the inputs from Sireesha, the cost of living and customary annual increase. The monthly budget considered was Rs 21,000 with a break up of Rs 12000 towards Sireesha’s salary, Rs 5000 towards the salary of the assistant, Rs. 2000 for office and other expenses, and Rs 2000 for training workshops, awareness campaigns and other support expenses. The meeting approved the proposed budget of Indian rupees 2, 52,000. It was decided that the dollar conversion existing at the time of sending check be considered. The meeting also recommended for a site visit this year, and a review of impact of the fellowship by someone who is familiar with the area and have experience in reviewing such work such as Ganguli, Timbaktu founder, or another organization. The meeting requested Ravi to prepare the project check list for disbursal of the funds. 2.The meeting discussed the Ustav 2012 related issues. Ravi shared his discussion with Gandhar on performance fee of $1000. The meeting discussed its impact on the overall budget, and alternatives to the Ustav model. It was decided to organize Ustav event with just kids’ performance. The meeting approved for the expenses such as auditorium advances, and related permissions, insurance, audio system, ticket printing, etc as may be necessary for organizing the event. The meeting also requested Aparna to recruit performers, sell tickets ($15), and solicit vendors for the food stall. Sowmya would order for printing tickets as necessary. Minutes posted by Ravi
