Recall from Previous Status Report

1. A number of Tamilnadu schools were very keen on using the material.
2. The work of writing the ECTAL-2 cd was to be completed in Dec2003.
3. Direct feed back  was to be collected from the user schools.

Activities in December 2003

1.       A presentation was made on ECTAL with a demonstaration of some of the lessons in the ECTAL-1 at the Asha conference on the 27^th Dec2003. The presentation was very well received. Volunteers from Tamilnadu and non-Tamil states as well, eagerly took copies of the cd for use with children they were teaching.

2.       As many as 20 copies of the cd have been given to new schools.

3.       The work of vetting the second round of lessons remained incomplete as the Asha Conference took precedence over the routine matters in December 2003.

4.       Feed back was taken from the headmistress of Urur Olcott school. She is very happy with work.

5.       Two more youngsters are working at putting teachers lessons on the power point.

6.       A scanner and a digital camera have been purchased for Asha for the project at the cost of Rs3100 and Rs11800 respectively.

Planned Activities in January 2004

1. Complete writing cd 2
2. Get feedback fron more user schools.
3. Make more lessons for Class 9 as there is great demand. (The TN text book has changed this year for class 9 and 6. Class6 needs have been fairly well met)
