4) Beneficiaries/target group: One part of the project benefits primary school age children and the other benefits the rural women through vocational training in a sewing training center. Most of the women and children belong to a schedule caste/ tribe.

5) Define the Issue:

They are not getting any fund for Education programs

a)         There is no primary school in the vicinity of the village. Establishment of one will promote education in the area.

b)        The rural women are entirely dependent on agriculture for their livelihood, which occupies them for only about a fourth of the year. Training in sewing will allow them to supplement their income throughout the year.

6) Primary goal for which we are supporting this project: The project is really two projects- one that establishes the Burhanapur school to educate 200 students, and the second one that establishes a training center for women to teach them to sew. It is in line with Asha goals to further the education of under-privileged women and children, especially in the rural areas.

7) Is it Education related: Yes, the education is of two categories: a) primary education for rural children, and b) vocational training to women for income generation in the village.

8) Will it be self-sufficient in the future?
Need more info to determine this
9) Primary Focus is tribal/rural Area: Yes
