Dear Melli, Dilip,

The first day of the teacher facilitation programme for the teachers 
working with the project TEA Trust was conducted on Sat 10/07/04 by two 
resource teachers R. Lalitha and Mary Agnes at the site. They are innovative and
experienced teachers of Olcott Memorial High School. They helped the 
Asha teachers of Venbakkam and Kolathancheri schools and 8 more teachers of 
the TEA Trust and other associated govt schools,with creating teaching- 
learning material for Std 1 for  Tamil and Maths. They will be going to the site
again on 24th July the fourth saturday. Arputham called to say he was 
very happy.The resource teachers expressed great satisfaction on the day's 
work.  While these teachers had been identified also two more teachers for 
English and EVS as facilitators it has taken some time getting my school 
management consent and planning as well. We hope to be able to continue this till
required on the two suitable Saturdays every month that are mutually
convenient to the TEA Trust. 

We are utilising the money from the $335 you have sent to Asha Chennai 
forthis purpose. We received the money in early June from Varanasi.
We hope to hear early from you about MIT supporting the project for the 
year 2004-2005 ASAP.
